SI 1995/2518, reg 40 includes provisions regarding VAT to be accounted for on VAT returns and payment of VAT.

Time by which VAT must be paid

The time by which VAT must be paid depends on whether the taxpayer:

  1. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý has a VAT liability of at least £2.3 million during a period of 12 months or less

  2. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý is authorised to use the annual accounting scheme

  3. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý is required to pay VAT on submission of a VAT return

  4. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý has entered into a time to pay agreement with HMRC
